AI Slop Detector Privacy Policy

What the extension reads
AI Slop Detector runs only on reddit.com, x.com, twitter.com, linkedin.com and youtube.com. It reads the text of posts (and, if you enable it, comments) that scroll into view, so it can score them for AI-generated "slop". It does not read private messages, form fields, passwords or other pages.
Where post text goes
Hosted mode: post text is sent to our server and on to TypeSafe AI's Jev API for scoring. TypeSafe states it does not train or fine-tune models on API input. When you open a post's details or click TL;DR, its text is also sent to Google's Gemini API (paid tier) to write a one-sentence explanation or a summary; Google does not use paid-tier API data to improve its products. We keep a hash of the text with its score, and any explanation or summary, for 30 days to avoid re-scoring the same post. We do not store the post text itself.
Your own API key: post text goes directly from your browser to OpenRouter using your key, and OpenRouter routes it to the model provider you picked. It never touches our server. Your key is stored only on your device. OpenRouter's and that provider's data policies apply; you can restrict OpenRouter to providers that don't train on your data in your OpenRouter privacy settings.
Account data
When you sign in with Google we store your email address and Google account id, your daily check count and your plan status. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record; we never see your card details.
On your device
Your settings, recent scores and the posts you mark as slop or not slop are stored in your browser and are not uploaded.
What we don't do
We don't sell data, show ads or track your browsing. Data is used only to provide slop detection.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling removes all local data. To delete your account, email us from the address you signed in with.
