What is AI slop?
AI slop is low-effort text mass-produced with AI tools and posted to farm engagement. It sounds polished but says little: one-line "broetry" paragraphs, stock phrases like "let that sink in", emoji-bullet listicles, and calls to action like "Agree?" or "Repost to help someone".
How does AI Slop Detector decide what's slop?
An AI model reads the text of each post as it scrolls onto your screen and scores how likely it is to be mass-produced AI filler, from 0 to 100. Posts above your tolerance setting pulse red. It also judges whether an AI wrote the post at all: useful posts that were clearly AI-written get a blue label, and the rest get a small green check. Open any label to see why, in one sentence about that post.
Is AI Slop Detector free?
Yes. Sign in with Google and you get 100 free checks every day, resetting at midnight. If you scroll more than that, Unlimited is $3 a month, or $24 a year (save 33%), or you can use your own OpenRouter API key for a one-time $5.
Is it always right?
No. Spotting slop is a judgment call. That's why you can slide the tolerance and overrule any verdict with one tap. Your marks always win.
What do you see from my feed?
Only the text of posts that scroll onto your screen, sent for scoring. Never your messages, passwords or other sites. We keep a hash of each post's text and its score for 30 days so the same post isn't checked twice, never the text itself. Privacy policy.
What counts as a check?
Checking one post or one comment is one check. Posts are checked automatically as you scroll; comments get a small "Check for slop" button so you only spend checks on the ones you care about. Everyone gets 100 free checks a day. Unlimited has no daily limit, apart from a fair-use cap of 2,000 a day that only stops automated abuse.
How does "your own key" work?
Pay $5 once, paste an OpenRouter API key into settings, and choose any model, including Gemini, Claude and GPT. Posts go straight from your browser to OpenRouter, and you pay them directly for what you use.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription from the extension's settings. You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you've paid for, and the free daily checks never stop.

Reddit (new and old), X / Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube (comments and community posts). You can turn each one on or off, and choose whether comments are checked too.
